A septic installation in progress for a Rega client

What catches it

Lead system for contractors.

The cheapest work you will ever win is the enquiry you already got and never answered. This is the part that stops those going missing between a phone, a van and an inbox.

The short answer

What is a lead system for contractors?

A lead system for contractors is one place where every call, text and form enquiry lands, with the follow-up that happens whether or not anyone is free to answer. Usually built on a CRM such as GoHighLevel, it replaces a phone, a personal inbox and a notepad, and records where each enquiry came from.

One list, whatever it arrived as
  • Call
  • Text
  • Form
  • Missed

Each one tagged with where it came from.

What is in it

Seven things, and you have probably lost work to all of them.

This is the list as sold, not a category of software.

  • One inbox for calls, texts and forms, on your phone.
  • A missed call sends a text back on its own, in seconds.
  • Speed to lead: the first reply goes out without waiting for you.
  • Online scheduling, so a booking does not need a phone call to exist.
  • Review requests sent after the job, rather than when you remember.
  • Call tracking with attribution, so you know which work came from where.
  • A pipeline, so every job from new enquiry to won sits where you can see it.

The one that pays for itself

What happens when you cannot pick up.

You are on a roof, under a house, or driving. The call goes to voicemail, which almost nobody leaves, and the caller rings the next company on the list. Here is what happens instead.

  1. The call comes inand you cannot answer it.
  2. A text goes outwithin seconds, from your number, asking what they need.
  3. They replybecause texting is easier than calling back.
  4. It is waiting for youin the same inbox as everything else, when you are down off the roof.

Where every job is

See every job at the stage it is at.

New enquiries, jobs you are quoting, quotes still out, and work that is won and waiting to start, each in its own column. What is on the go stops living in your head.

Every customer and job keeps its own record: the scope, the materials it needs, your notes and every message back and forth. Whoever picks it up next starts from what was actually said, not from memory.

The column worth watching is the quotes still out. A quote nobody followed up on is work you priced and then let go, and on a board you can see it sitting there.

Where this sits

This is what the rest of the work hands off to.

A site and ads produce enquiries. What happens in the next five minutes decides how many of them become jobs, and that part is not a marketing problem.

  1. What it catches

Every call, text and form from the site, the ads, your Google profile and the number on your van.

  2. What it tells you

Which of those produced the work, so next month you are spending on the one that did rather than the one you remember.

  3. What it is not

It is not a profit report. It shows what arrived and what came of it in the system; what a job earned you is your books, not ours.

"He also connected it with our CRM, so all our form submissions now flow directly into it, which has saved us a lot of time."

Before we write a word

We write down how you talk. Then we write everything else.

We write one of these for every client. We sit down with you, listen to how you actually describe the job, and write it down. Your site, your ads and every follow-up get written from it, which is why they sound like you and not like an agency wrote them.

From Google

What it is like to work with us.

They come straight from Google, from real businesses we have worked with.

What it costs

What the lead system costs, with the work that feeds it.

It is in every system we sell, because an enquiry nobody catches is the most expensive thing on this site. The price of every system is public.

Solo

$1,500 to build, then$750/month

A site, a system that catches every call, and content every month, so the work you already attract stops slipping away.

For: An owner-operator who needs to be found, and to stop losing the calls they already get.

The work

Sites we built, and what we did on each.

Every one is a real business, not a template with a logo dropped in. We have built for deck and rail, eavestrough and septic companies, and the trade decides the language and the photos. The system underneath is the same one every time.

Before you ask

What owners ask us about the lead system.

I already have a phone and an inbox. Why do I need this?

Because those two do not talk to each other, and neither of them answers a missed call for you. The question worth asking is how many enquiries you got last month and how many you can actually account for. Most owners cannot answer the second half.

Is this GoHighLevel?

Yes. We build the lead system on GoHighLevel, also called HighLevel or GHL, and set it up for how a trades business actually runs. You get the whole account; what we build in it depends on the system you choose. You do not need to know GoHighLevel to use it: the day-to-day is the app on your phone.

Is this another thing I have to learn?

It is an app on your phone: one inbox, and a board of where each job is. We set it up, we write the automatic messages with you, and the day-to-day use is replying to people the way you already do and moving a job along when it moves.

Will it show me what my marketing is making me?

It shows where every enquiry came from and what happened to it in the system. What a job was actually worth depends on what you record after the work is done, so we will not pretend the system knows your profit. Attribution yes, accounting no.

Can I keep my own number?

Yes. Call tracking sits alongside your number rather than replacing it, which is what lets a call be attributed without your customers seeing anything different.

Can I buy just this?

Yes, it can be bought on its own, and we quote it. It is also in all three systems, and those are the better buy, because on its own it catches whatever is already coming in and does nothing to increase it. If this is genuinely all you want, say so on the form and we will tell you straight whether it is worth it for you.

How long does it take to set up?

Most builds go live in two to three weeks from the day we have what we need from you, and the lead system is part of that rather than a phase after it.

Three systems, every price on the page, and what is in each one. The lead system is in all three, because the rest of the work is worth less without it.
